Community Service Hours @ Walk for Warmth Posted: January 17, 2012
Do you or someone you know need community service hours? Many schools now require them for graduation.
Committing to Walk for Warmth is a great way to help out your community and also earn community service hours! Simply track the hours you spend (say, an hour every Saturday leading up to the Walk for Warmth, asking your neighbors to contribute to your fundraising) and then come to the event to walk with your team. There will be a table at our Walk events with someone to sign off on your hours.
Don't forget: there is no minimum to donate this year. Letters of thanks will be mailed for those giving over $20 (ALL contributions are tax deductible) and each family helped by Walk for Warmth is usually helped out with utility bills in the arena of $350 - a great team goal to raise!
