OLHSA receives Huron-Clinton Metroparks Corporate Volunteer of the Year award Posted: May 28, 2015 Updated: June 01, 2015

Every year OLHSA’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), funded by a Michigan Department for Natural Resources grant, employs youth and partners with area groups to keep community spaces safe and ready for all to enjoy. Recently as part of the program, youth removed invasive species, cleaned-up parks and provided stewardship to state and local parks.

This year because of the contribution and dedication by SYEP youth to Huron-Clinton Metroparks, OLHSA was named Huron-Clinton Metropark’s Corporate Volunteer of the Year for 2014. We are proud of our SYEP program and the impact it creates on our outdoor spaces and communities. We were honored by the recognition and look forward to the 2015 SYEP program to get underway.
